Are you an experienced electrician with strong solar and battery experience, looking to spend less time on large installation jobs and roofs? Energy Solution Centre is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Solar Service Technician to join our team servicing the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane areas.
This is a great opportunity for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, fault finding, problem-solving and working directly with customers, rather than spending every day completing large solar installations. You'll still be hands-on, but the focus is different — service, diagnostics, technical problem-solving, upgrades and customer support.
As a Solar Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, upgrading and maintaining solar and battery systems, while providing an exceptional customer experience. You'll be trusted to manage your day, solve problems properly and take ownership of each service job from diagnosis through to resolution.
Your Responsibilities
- Completing solar and battery service call-outs
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing solar and battery system faults
- Completing switchboard upgrades and modifications
- Completing small solar and battery system upgrades
- Installing small system additions and modifications
- Conducting solar safety and compliance assessments
- Completing system health and performance checks
- Conducting new installation site assessments for the Sales Team
- Identifying electrical and installation issues and providing practical solutions
- Completing roof and solar assessments safely
- Taking accurate photos, measurements and technical information
- Communicating clearly with customers and explaining technical issues simply
- Providing recommendations for repairs, upgrades and improvements
- Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation
- Representing Energy Solution Centre professionally at all times
About You
We are looking for an experienced, qualified electrician who has an in-depth understanding of:
- Solar PV systems
- Battery storage systems
- Inverters and associated equipment
- Switchboards and electrical protection
- Solar fault finding and diagnostics
- Electrical compliance and safety requirements
- Monitoring platforms and apps
You will also need to be:
- Customer-focused and professional
- Well presented and well spoken
- Confident communicating with homeowners
- A strong problem solver
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable working at heights and accessing roofs safely
- Physically fit enough to complete solar inspections
- Highly organised and reliable
- Comfortable using technology and completing digital job documentation
Most Importantly
Only apply if you are an experienced, qualified electrician with significant hands-on experience and an in-depth knowledge of solar, batteries and switchboards.
We are not looking for someone who simply wants to learn solar. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

Requirements
